Requirements for article submission

  1. The content of the article should correspond to the subject of the journal.
  2. The volume of the article should be at least 15 thousand printed characters, including an abstract, keywords, tables, figures, and a bibliographic list.
  3. Compliance with high scientific criteria.
  4. Preference should be given to links to publications of the past 10 years. The journal publishes materials that have not been published or transferred to other editions. Minor corrections of a stylistic and formal nature are made to the article without the consent of the authors. If more serious corrections are required, the revision is agreed with the authors or the article is sent to the authors for revision. Manuscripts is not returned to authors.
  5. The editorial board accepts articles exclusively in electronic format (Word format, file type .doc) sent to the journal email address:

  1. The UDC index must be indicated at the beginning of each submitted article. The UDC index is determined by the author independently. https://www.teacode.com/online/udc/
  2. The abstract in Russian and English should include the characteristics of the main theme, the problems facing the author, the goals of the work and its results. It is not recommended to quote the text from the article.The average length of the abstract is of 150 - 250 words. All key words (5-7 concepts, terms) should be used in the text of the abstract.

Abstract and keywords: Times New Roman, 12-point, 1.15 spacing.

  1. The text of the article should be A-4 sized according to state standard GOST 9327-60, portrait orientation, Times New Roman, 14-point, 1.5 spacing.

– MS Word format

– Margins 2 cm all the sides throughout.

– Indent 1,25.

– Justified text.

Normal letter - spacing.

Square brackets on the Latin keyboard.

One space word spacing. Spaces are required after all punctuation marks (including ellipses), including abbreviations i.e., etc., etc.

Two punctuation marks in a row are not separated by a space, for example: M., 1995. In personal names all elements are not separated by spaces, for example: A.S. Pushkin.

Hyphen should be different from the dash, for example: literary-artistic (hyphen), Russian literature of the late XIX – early XX century (dash with spaces on the left and right, without spaces – in numbers and dates, for example: 1960–1970, p. 52– 65.

Articles, prepositions, conjunctions must be placed on the next line, not at the end of the previous one! Illogical line-breaks are not allowed!

Quotation marks in the text:

– use «…» within the text and  ,, …. “ inside the quote.

Example:

«The novel ,,Fathers and sons“ by I. S. Turgenev was published in the journal ,,Russkiy vestnik“».

–use ‘…’  while conveying the meaning of a foreign word.

– use “…“  in the English text

Roman numerals are typed using the Latin keyboard.

The letter ё / Ё is replaced by the letter e / E except for proper names and distinctive words which are important for the context comprehension for example: Генрих Бёлль.

Do not use any pre-set or personal styles, specified columns for text formatting

Spaces between paragraphs are not allowed.

Highlighting in the text should be carried out according to the following rules:

Headings, subheadings are in bold.

Short examples are in italics.

Literary texts, historical sources should be in the original language. If the text is translated, the author of the translation is indicated.

The quality of illustrations should be maximum (not lower than 600 dpi). Illustrations are attached to the article as a separate file in jpeg format and must be named in Russian and English, indicating the place of illustrations in the article. The notes of the figures are duplicated in a separate file.

References given below the text are written in accordance with the national standard of the Russian Federation GOST R 7.0.5–2008 "Bibliographic reference" (dated 01.01.2009).

References to foreign sources are presented after Russian ones.

  1. Brief information about the author is given at the end of the article both in Russian and English:

– surname, name (in bold),

–  degree (if any),

– position, workplace, e-mail (12-point).
